The Value of a Christian Library!
We believe a strong library system is the cornerstone of a strong community. It contributes to education, literacy, and life-long learning. It provides an active resource centre to guide people in the church and the surrounding community to grow in the knowledge and lifestyle of Christ, to effectively serve God, and assist in the wholesome use of leisure time.
The library also supports the ministerial staff and leadership of the local churches by providing quality resources and services to strengthen their mission goals: To love God, love others, share Jesus and disciple believers.
The basic concept is that we want to provide a free Christian Community library for everyone, as there isn't anywhere available for all the community to freely access on the Central Coast. At the moment if you want to find good Christian resources you have to be a member of a local church, or attend a Christian educational institute like Moore College, and purchasing them can be costly for your average family. So with this in mind the library vision was born on a quiet Sunday afternoon while we were discussing ways of helping the community.
For us it is not about the books or resources it’s about serving people with whatever God provides. So even though the library hasn’t got a permanent place at the moment we can still serve and reach people for Christ where we are.
